Here is a sampling of frequently asked questions:


Q: How many people can your facility accomodate?
A: We are a multi-room facility which can handle any party from 6 to 150 people. The breakdown by rooms are as follows.  Main Dining Room: 80 people/ Elizabethan Room: 40 people/Multi-Purpose Gym: 125 people and Private Dining Room: 8 people.  Many parties utilize several rooms at the same time therefore increasing the number of attendees possible. All numbers shown are maximum capacity.


Q: Is there a room rental fee?
A: Yes, based on the room which you choose there is a fee. The fee schedule is shown on our web site. In most cases if desired, tableloths and centerpieces are included in the fees. If food is purchased through our catering service, the room fee is discounted.


Q: If we have room rental only, can we bring in our own food?
A: Yes, as long as the food is prepared by the person hosting the party. We DO NOT allow outside caterers to cater and/or deliver food to our facility.  Penn Bistro is a banquet and catering facility and as such will allow only our catering service to provide food.


Q: What is your policy on alcohol consumption?
A: Penn Bistro does not possess a liquor license. Therefore if you wish to have alcoholic beverages you must provide and serve the alcohol yourself.  Penn Bistro will assume no liabilty for on premise consumption. Providing mixers, cups and pitchers will also be required on your part. For more details concerning our policy please discuss this with the event coordinator.


Q: Is your facility handicap accessible?
A:  Penn Bistro is ADA compliant. Handicap ramps and restroom facilities are present. For your convenience a wheel chair is available for those requesting it.


Q: Are we able to bring in our own cake?
A: Yes, by all means.  We encourage you to do that if you desire. Unlike other catering and banquet facilities we do not charge a cutting fee.  We are happy to do that as part of services.


Q: Can we bring in our own decorations?
A: Yes.  We provide table decorations as part of our room rental fee but you are free to bring in your own and make the party yours. However, we DO NOT ALLOW any glitter decorations including table glitter.


Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: At the time you party is booked we request a small deposit to hold the room and date.  This is a non-refundable deposit unless the cancellation is made 30 days prior to the party date.  Should the cancellation occur after the food purchase has been made for the event, you will also be responsible for the food cost.


Q: Do you offer off-site catering?
A: ABSOLUTELY!  We can cater your event for any number of quests.  We can do "you pick up", drop off or deliver and serve.  We also in addition to our regular menu can provide a picnic service for your summertime events.
